Idein | Short Film by Found Studio

Idein is the fourth in a series of studio films, designed to push us both creatively and technically. The film began life as a piece of concept art, inspired by a Sigmund Freud quote on the subject of the ‘subconscious’. The initial idea quickly evolved into a full film exploring the formation of an idea from the hidden depths of the mind, spiralling and rising through different stages of consciousness, until finally crystallising as a fully-formed idea. The film’s title, Idein, is the ancient Greek word meaning ‘to see’.

Tam Tam - Outside the Lines by Spindle

The right to citizenship at birth, ‘ius soli’, is still unapproved in Italy, denying over a million children, born of immigrant parents, automatic citizenship. The film captures the story of an Italian basketball team, who were refused access to regional leagues because of the Italian born players’ immigration status. Former Italian basketball champion, Massimo Antonelli, started the team at a disused holiday complex in Castel Volturno, an area that is made up of 25,000 inhabitants, a fifth of which are registered migrants. Being free to join, it offered local teenagers a chance to participate in after school sports and was sustained by generous donations. The FPI (Italian Basketball Federation) rules stated that to compete, only 2 players per team could be migrants, which posed a problem for Antonelli and his team of hard working and committed players. Given his media status, he soon found himself at the centre of a debate about Italian citizenship and integration, and the question ‘what does it mean to be Italian?’ was brought to the fore. http://bit.ly/2Sdms8P Credits: Director - Greg Hackett Executive Producers - Stitch Richardson, Lois Newcombe  Producer - Luigi Rossi Production Manager - Dickon Ireland Production Company – Spindle Director of Photography - Todd Martin Fixer - Giulio Piscitelli 1st Assistant Camera - Jonathan England Gaffer/Grip - Bjorn-Ante Roe Sound Recordist - Emiliano Locatelli Camera Hire - Panalight Lighting & Grip Hire - Panalight Film Processing - Augustus Colour Editor - Tim Swaby Colour Producer - Chris Anthony, Framestore Colour Grade - Simon Osbourne, Framestore Sound Design - Joe Wilkinson, Strings and Tins Composer - Luke Atencio VFX and Finishing - Creative Outpost

Antenatal Depression - Director's Cut by Sindha Agha

As women, I feel we’ve been led to believe that many of our experiences are indescribable, incommunicable; that even when we can figure out how to talk about what happens inside our bodies and our minds, that we’d better not — that others don’t want to hear it because it’s too gross, too sad, too strange. My series for BBC Three, "Body Language," rails against stigma surrounding women's health by creating an vivid language for externalizing our innermost experiences. Episode one covers antenatal depression, an overlooked and highly stigmatized medical condition that leaves women suffering in quiet isolation. The series has been commissioned by Damian Kavanagh, Controller BBC Three The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Navi Lamba Director – SINDHA AGHA Producer – PAULETTE CALETTI Executive Producer – JULIETTE LARTHE Head of Production – HANNAH MAY Production – PRETTYBIRD for BBC Three Director of Photography – NEUS OLLÉ Assistant Camera – MARK SWAFFIELD Digital Image Technician – EWAN MACFARLAN Gaffer – JOSIE WILLIAMS Lighting Trainee – LAUREN HALSEY Lighting Trainee – SARAH BAKER Art Director – HAYLEY MCDONALD Art Department Assistant – LOIS TAGG Editor – ELEANOR MCNAUGHTAN Additional Editing - SINDHA AGHA Offline Producer – ELLA SEDGWICK at WORK POST Sound Recordist & Designer – HELEN MILES (yes) Colourist – JESSICA VILE Flame Artist – KATIE RHODES Post-Production Producer – HANNAH OLIVER at FRAMESTORE Casting Director - MAXINE LANKITUS-DUNKLEY at ATMOSPHERE FACES Filmed at CLAPHAM ROAD STUDIOS
